Tuscany Tours - Don’t Miss Out on Tuscany Italy
Thinking about going to Italy for your vacation? Excellent choice! There is so much to see. But although there are many sights to enjoy, let’s focus on the Tuscany tours of Italy. Why Tuscany? For one thing, it is here you will see the most beautiful architecture. The most lovely, exquisite, picturesque architecture in the world is all in Tuscany.
In Tuscany alone there are six UNESCO protected sites. This means they are protected by the international World Heritage Program. Because these places offer outstanding culture for everyone, they are protected. There are only 851 sites throughout the world and 6 of them are right there to see on your Tuscany tours vacation.
Some of these protected sites include the centers in Siena, Penza, Florence, and San Gimignano. There is also the Val d’Orcia, and the square of the Cathedral of Pisa. You might more readily know it as the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
In Siena there is the Duomo cathedral, which represents the great Italian Romanesque culture. While you are in Florence, you must also see Santa Maria del Flore, another magnificent piece of architecture. Also in Florence is an amazing old bridge, the Ponche Vencho Bridge. Held up by stilts, the old bridge also has shops built along the edge.
In San Gimignano, there is a small town on top of a hill. This town is walled and is well known for its medieval architecture. It has 14 towers that you can see from miles.
These magnificent towers have stories to tell indeed. They have withstood wars and major disasters. Yet here they still stand, beautiful works of art, which you can see for yourself on your Tuscany tours. Then there is Val d’Orcia, protected for its quaint little villages and the beautiful rolling hills. You shouldn’t leave Italy without visiting this place once.
These cities are protected mainly for their magnificent architecture. Enjoy your Tuscany tours — take in the sites and savor all the history and beauty that they have to offer.
